Dr. Alexei Prazdnitchnykh is a principal of Bauman Innovation (Moscow, Russia) and an Associate Professor at the Russian Academy of National Economy (ANE). He has led and participated in many projects on cluster/secor, regional and Russian national competitiveness, technology and innovation, and broad economic policy issues. He has worked in numerous industries including biotechnology/life science, movie/entertainment, nanotechnology/new materials, automotive, travel and tourism. He is a consultant of the World Bank.
Alexei coordinates the World Economic Forum (WEF) Global Competitiveness Program (GCP) in Russia (as an official Russian partner). He teaches a graduate and executive level course "Competitiveness and Economic Development: Firms, Clusters and Regions" and in collaboration with Harvard Business School Institute for Strategy and competitiveness. He has been a speaker at various international and Russian workshops, conferences and forums, including the World Economic Forum, World Bank and others. He holds a Ph.D. (Int. Dev.) from the Russian Academy of Public Administration under the president of RF and a M.Sc. (Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering) with high honors from the Bauman Technical University. He is currently a member of various content communities including The Competitiveness Institute (TCI) and the Northern Cluster Alliance (NCA).
