George Beard is a senior instructor and consulting principal with the Executive Leadership Institute at Portland State University's Hatfield School of Government. His professional interests focus on city-to-city learning networks, technology-based innovation, performance improvement and development of next-generation leaders. He currently manages five national graduate intern programs and is responsible for business development for the School's new Executive MPA program. A co-founder of WorldC2C, Mr. Beard also serves as a Senior Fellow at the Center for Digital Government and as a board member of the La Salle Foundation. An occasional contributor to Public CIO Magazine, his latest article, What's Your IQ (Innovation Quotient)? was published in May 2007. George holds degrees from Michigan State University, the State University of New York at Albany and Portland State University.
