Dr. Eric R. Hansen, President of ETG, is one of the pioneers of cluster-based economic development and has 30 years of experience implementing sustainable economic competitiveness projects and catalyzing private-sector development and public-private collaboration in more than 20 countries worldwide. Dr. Hansen is currently involved in a major clustering project in Argentina, a program to develop a national clustering policy for Turkey, a specific vision and action strategy for the GAP (Southeast Anatolia) region of Turkey, and a women-led rural sustainable development program in Mexico.
Previously, he worked at Stanford Research Institute and the World Bank. He holds a Ph.D. in regional economics and planning from M.I.T. and has authored numerous articles and publications, lectures at UC Berkeley, Stanford University, NYU and ESSEC.
