Connie Ireland is a Regional Administrator for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. Connie has worked for the department for ten yeas as an economic development and community development specialist and most recently as a regional administrator. Connie represents the department's business, community and workforce development divisions in the southwest region of the state. Connie is responsible for establishing new relationships and developing new initiatives with regional organizations including: education, economic development, workforce development, non-profit organizations and private sector businesses.
As a co-author of the Ag Innovation Triangle. a WIRED initiative awarded by the U.S. Department of Labor, Connie will provide leadership and support for the initiative. Previously, Connie developed several initiatives in workforce development and broadband development for the state. She has lived in rural Minnesota most of her life and believes in the opportunities for rural America.
She received her bachelor degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
