Sean Penrith is Executive Director of Earth Advantage Inc, a non-profit provider of green building programs. Although born in Zimbabwe, Penrith considers himself South African having growing up there.
Before Sean moved to Portland., he was the CEO & Co-Founder of Green Glass Inc, an acclaimed sustainable glassware manufacturer with three plants worldwide. He graduated with a BSc. Elec. Eng from the University of Cape Town (SA)before setting off to double Cape Horn on a 42' ketch. After a brief stint in Argentina he moved back to South Africa to start up Green Glass Inc. It grew from a small garage to an international operation. He got involved with community work after the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he and his partner showcased their patented glass technology. He was fortunate to work with community leaders and organizations around the world that are pressing hard to make a serious social and environmental difference in the world we occupy.
