Alberto Pezzi is head of competitiveness analysis at the Observatory of Industrial Foresight of the Catalan government of Spain. He has over fifteen years experience in regional development and cluster initiatives working both in the private sector and in regional governments in Italy and Catalonia. He is co-author of the Map of the Local Industrial Production Systems of Catalonia, published in October 2005. Alberto holds a degree in Economics by the University of Bologna and a Postgraduate Diploma in Law, Economics and Policy of the European Union by the European College of Parma (Italy).
