Speaker Elisabeth Reynolds

Elisabeth Reynolds has worked for the past decade in urban and regional economic development. From 1999-2002 she was Directory of the City Advisory Practice (CAP) at the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City (ICIC), the consulting wing of the non-profit founded by Professor Michael Porter. Liz worked with cities across the U.S. and U.K. on strategies for building competitive inner cities through job and business growth. Subsequently she has consulted to cities on cluster development strategies and is currently writing a policy paper for the Brookings Institute on U.S. federal policy toward cluster development.

She previously worked as a policy analyst with the Institute for Research in Public Policy, a Canadian think tank, and as a financial analyst with Goldman Sachs. She has a Masters in economics, University of Montreal, and is a Ph.D. candidate in MIT's Department of Urban Studies and Planning, working on the biomanufacturing industry.
